The holiday apartment, furnished in a modern style, is located on the first floor directly facing the country road at almost street level (quadruple glazing). The living area has a large, modern and fully equipped kitchen (including microwave), a dining bar and a comfortable sofa. The bedroom is furnished with a 150 cm French bed. The bathroom directly adjoining has a shower. The flat screen TV has satellite reception with around 450 international channels - including BBC World and CNN - as well as local reception with common Spanish TV channels by switching on the remote control (international movies on most of the Spanish TV channels can be switched to the original language). You can also ask for free Netflix. Of course, the large communal roof-terrace can also be used. Our house got glass fibre internet connection and at all of the accommodations as well as at the roof-terrace there is very good working wifi-connection. The low price is explained by the location facing the street, which means that noise pollution cannot be ruled out. This apartment is not suitable for people who are sensitive to noise.
These smart rural apartments are located in a more than 200 years old former monastery with typical patio, rambled stairs and a big sun terrace with excellent views to the mountains and the Atlantic ocean. The house is an example of Canarian architecture. It was completely reconstructed by the year 1996 and again renovated in 2011, conserving his original Canarian style. The touristic rental of the first apartments began in 1996.
The mostly young and international guests are using the Apartamento as perfect starting point for mountain bike and walking tours as well as for trips around the varied areas of the island.

Apartment is located next to the city of Icod de los Vinos surrounded by palms and green environ, aprox. 325 meters over the Atlantic ocean. The famous dragontree and the city center are aprox. 800 meters away. Nearby there is also one of the biggest volcanic caves of the world (the Cueva del Viento). The next beach (the Playa de San Marcos) with several bars and restaurants is only 3.5 km away.
