To move from the apartment to any point in Barcelona you have all the options available very close; Monumental metro stop on line 2, buses, taxis and bicycle rental. But doubtless the best option is to walk to the extent that your legs will take you: Port of Barcelona and the beaches, Paseo de Gracia, Barrio del Borne and Barceloneta are all within a 30 minute walk. Taxis in Barcelona are also a good option if you want to get to a point that is further away and in Barcelona they are quite reasonably priced.
