Grand chalet familial with astonishing south-facing views on the valley of Cerdanya, located in a very quiet neighborhood.

The chalet is ideal for large families, or 3 families of 4-5 members. There are 7 bedrooms, a large dorm, and 3 bathrooms, so 16 people can live very comfortably.

The Ski resort is only 2.5km away, with free bus shuttles passing nearby.

The chalet is not 'luxurious' and does not intend to be so, it's rather a very convivial home, with large spaces to live and play, 'small' bedrooms like we were building them in the 60's for large families, and a huge dorm. The house is absolutely ideal for 2 large families, or 3 families of 4-5 members. There are 7 bedrooms, a large dorm room, 3 bathrooms, so 16 people can enjoy the house very comfortably.

The decoration is simple, warm and inspired by sports, the furnitures are simple yet qualitative. You will love this chalet si you value simplicity, if you value having a large living-room with amazing south-facing views. the many bedrooms, the conviviality of the space, and a few cool extras for sports lovers (ski-room right when entering the chalet, large inside space to park your mountain bikes or road bikes, your climbing gear, larges spaces to dry out your clothes and equipment, yoga mats, ping-pong table, sleds).

The chalet is an independant house, on a plot of 1.148 m2. It was build in 1969.

Ground floor: entrance, ski-room, bathroom with toilet, large living-room with acces to a 40m2 terrasse facing south with breath-taking views of the valley, huge dining table with 2 large bench like in a mountain refuge, kitchen with all the necessary equipment.
Basement: playroom, possibility to store bikes and all sorts of equipment, technical room
1st floor: 7 bedrooms, of which 3 with double beds, 2 with single bed, 2 with bunk beds, 1 full bathroom, 1 bathroom with a shower cabin, 1 courtesy toilet, large balcony facing south, shutters in every single bedroom. Good quality beds, wood-flooring.
2nd floor: dorm room. with 4 single beds and 1 bunk bed.

Setting

The chalet is actually located in a dead-end street, so there are almost no cars passing by. It's in a neighborhood made only of other chalets, there are no high rise buildings whatsoever. Last but not least, the chalet is on the edge of the neighborhood, and therefore enjoys breathtaking 360 views of the valley of Cerdanya, and all this facing SOUTH! So full of light and sun.

Activities and attractions

The old town of Bolquere is only 1.5km away, the ski resort of Pyrenees 2000 / Font-Romeu is only 2.5km away, shops (of which Biocoop, an organic supermarket, and the Pharmacy) are 2km away.

The Bolquere railway served the 'Yellow Train', an amazing train experience you can do very easily from the chalet. Spain in only 20 minutes away for those who want to enjoy a change of country or simply visit the cool town of Puigcerda.

We can put you in touch with many parties organizing activities and adventure. The area is absolutely amazing to enjoy all sorts of various activities (ski, cross country ski, ski touring, climbing, road bike, mountain bike, cannyoning in warm or cold waters). Nature is extraordinarily beautiful and accessible. The are many famous hikes, of which the GR10, which crosses the town of Bolquere.
