The accommodation

This is a traditional Asturian house of over 100 years old, recently renovated while preserving its original architecture but with all the modern comforts.

The house has 200 square meters and is spread over three floors. On the ground floor, there is a cozy living-dining room with a small porch at street level, a spacious fully equipped kitchen, and a full bathroom. On the first floor, there are two double bedrooms, one of them with an outdoor corridor and large windows with mountain views, and another full bathroom. On the second floor, there is a double bedroom with a corridor and windows as well, another double bedroom, and a single bedroom, all with roof windows.

The house has a large garden with a terrace and a small shed, as well as a garage where the washer-dryer and the boiler are located. The house has radiators in all rooms except the garage and three free use bycicles.

Setting

Located in Parres (Llanes), a small rural village in the municipality of Llanes, 3.5 km from Llanes and 4 km from the most spectacular beaches in eastern Asturias. In a rural and tranquil setting, the house enjoys views of the Cuera Mountains.

Activities and attractions

This is an exceptional location to enjoy the beach, mountains, and the best of Asturian cuisine.

Near Parres, there are hiking trails in the Cuera Mountains with views of the Cantabrian Sea. The municipality of Llanes boasts numerous areas of extraordinary natural beauty, some of which are declared Natural Monuments, such as the Bufones de Arenillas and Santiuste, as well as the beaches of Gulpiyuri and Cobijero. With more than thirty beaches, cliffs, forests, and beautiful landscapes, it invites you to enjoy nature and its stunning wonders.

In Llanes, you can also experience the Camino de Santiago, which runs from Bustio (Ribadedeva) to Guadamía (the boundary of Llanes with Ribadesella), with the option to follow the original path or the Coastal Path. The municipality of Llanes also offers a wide range of cultural activities and a rich historical heritage, as seen in the Indiano mansions, as well as a golf course, marina, and more.

From Parres (Llanes) and within a short drive to the west or southwest, you can also visit Ribadesella (35 km), Cangas de Onís (48 km), the Covadonga Sanctuary (56 km), and the Enol and Ercina lakes (69 km). Gijón (87 km) and Oviedo (103 km) are to the south. To the south, you can enjoy the Cares Route from Poncebos (40 km) and the views of the Naranjo de Bulnes (Picos de Europa), or visit Cabrales (31 km) nearby. To the east, in addition to the villages of the Llanes municipality like Vidiago (13 km), in the province of Santander, you can visit the Soplao Caves (46 km), San Vicente de la Barquera (36 km), Oyambre Natural Park (42 km), Comillas (47 km), Santillana del Mar (68 km), or even Santander (90 km).
