Activities and attractions

Los Alcázares is a Spanish municipality in the province of Murcia. It belongs to the Comarca del Mar Menor municipality and covers an area of 20 km², had 17,603 inhabitants in 2022 and is located at an altitude of 6 m above sea level, east of Cartagena (Spain), about 20 km from the provincial capital. The Mar Menor, a large lagoon, is the defining element of the landscape and has given its name to the entire comarca. The municipality has existed in its present form since 1983.
