The Gulf of Orosei is named after the town of Orosei (Nuoro) and it extends along 40 km of the Sardinian eastern coast. The northern part is low on the sea, characterized by pine forests, long beaches and dunes; the south part is high, with limestone ramparts covered by lush forests. Coves and cliffs form the backdrop to a sea of turquoise and crystal clear waters that attract every year the diving lovers. Cala Gonone is the only port in the Gulf.
